Join us Thursday, March 20, for a free CE webinar titled Normalized Deviance: Tracking Unsafe Trends.

Dan Scungio and Jason Nagy will explore how unsafe practices become accepted in laboratory environments due to pressures like time, money, and resource limitations. The webinar emphasizes recognizing and addressing these behaviors through audits, monitoring, and fostering a culture of safety, ultimately aiming to normalize safe practices instead of deviations.

After this webinar, you will be able to:

  • 1. Discuss the meaning of normalized deviance and how to recognize those behaviors.
  • 2. Recognize normalized deviance patterns in specific laboratory areas.
  • 3. Resolve specific situations in which normalized deviance occurs.
  • 4. Create steps to normalize safety in the laboratory.

This webinar is at the basic level of instruction and approved for 1.0 P.A.C.E. contact hour. MediaLab by Vastian is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E.® Program.
